I arrived in Toledo yesterday and asked around on where is a good Bbq place. I told them that Texas bbq is the standard. And they told me that there is nowhere in Toledo that has good bbq. Lies. I found Shorty’s few miles away from my hotel through Google search and the have beef bbq ribs. My expectation was not high but I was scared that I’ll be disappointed. I went ahead and ordered a takeout. There’s plenty of space for parking, Area around and in the restaurant was clean, Host was polite, and most specially, service was fast. Everything checked off so far and the food? Did not disappoint! Crispy string onions were made fresh and crispy. Muffin was moist and tasty. The beef bbq ribs? Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned! I did not get a chance to taste potato salad yet. Serving was huge, I have a lot for tomorrow.

Was just okay today. I got the beef ribs which are the oversized beef ribs. The barbecue sauce had a weird sour taste to it. It was palatable but it wasn't a delicious sauce. It tasted like they also put that in the baked beans as they had that that sour taste to them. Also. The wife got the brisket sandwich. The brisket she said was just okay. Her beans were fine for her. She didn't mind the odd taste to it. We got onion rings which were listed as lightly breaded. That's not what they were. They were battered and very very thickly battered. So that was a waste of money for us. The onion straws were exactly what you expect. They were tasty and crispy and had good flavor. That was the highlight of my meal Unfortunately. The beef ribs had good flavor as far as the rib but I had never had them before So I didn't know what to expect. Tasted a lot like roast actually. Over all this want my best BBQ. 85 dollar bill with45 dollar flavor. I should end with. We have been here before and had fantastic meals. We were here early in the day and it wasn't very busy.

I got a half rack of ribs and chicken wings with a vanilla shake as my dessert. Their sweet BBQ sauce is super delicious, the service was good, got my food pretty quickly. The ribs are st Louis so a little tougher than I tend to enjoy but the flavor of the meat was good and the chicken wings were really good. The vanilla shake was pretty decent as well

The brisket eas very tender. The chicken brest was dry but the BBQ sauce was AMAZING! The fries, coleslaw slaw, baked beans were good too. I didn't like the chili because it was more tomatoe paste tasting to me.My family had the ribs which they enjoyed.

Was just there yesterday, and absolutely everything was amazing. As soon as you open that 1st door you can smell that good bbq smoke. The service was great no complaints at all very welcoming when you get there. They were also so appreciative as we left. The food is a 10/10 across the board. We will differently be back to try more of the menu. Hopefully we get to enjoy the patio next time we go. That would have put our first time experience over the top. I highly recommend to try it for yourself.
